This time there was no star who shined more than the absence of John Galliano.
With references of “New Look”, a pastel palette and a very girlie and young atmosphere, the show began absolutely well. But all of a sudden, lots of long dresses 70’s inspired came in, and then the showreturned to the concept of the beggining.
Of course it wasn’t bad at all, but there was no link connecting all of this .It semeed like a discontinuous piece of art.
And even knowing Bill Gaytten (the current designer) worked with Galliano during 23 years, the designer still represents the soul and the vigor of the brand, and I’m sure It will not be the same.
And the question we can’t stop asking ourselves is “What happens next?” How can fashion industry survive after this?
